Reception Admissions

Manchester Local Authority is responsible for admissions of all Reception places, including children already attending nursery in either of our other Trust schools.

​

The on line Local Authority forms must be completed by parents for children starting Reception at the beginning of the school year in September.  This must be completed by the nominated date in January the year before your child is due to start Reception, as there are strict deadlines.  A late application could mean your child not getting a place at the school of your choice.

For in year admissions, for example if a family moves in to the area after the start of the school year, the Local Authority will accept paper application forms.

Admissions Years 1 to 6

Kingsway Community Trust has adopted the Manchester City Council Admissions Policy for 2025-26 and 2026-27. Please contact Manchester City Council Admissions Team on 0161 245 7166. The Council will then notify school and children's names will be added to the school's waiting list. If places are available, the Council will notify parents who will then need to contact the school to complete an admissions form.
