Reception Teacher - Mrs K Dunn
After leaving school I qualified as a Nursery Nurse and worked in various Early Years’ settings, including nurseries and schools. I wanted to further my knowledge in early childhood and in 2010 I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University.
I am fully committed to the underpinning philosophy of the EYFS ‘learning through play’; I firmly believe that given the opportunity to explore learning experiences in this sphere, children are able to develop a positive and can-do attitude to learning. I felt it was a natural progression for me to become a primary school teacher specialising in early years and I went on to study for a PGCE at the University of Cumbria.
I am absolutely thrilled to start my teaching career as the reception class teacher at Cringle Brook Primary.
